2023 has so far seen in excess of £17.6 million in auction sales for Kivells. With one auction remaining, it’s set to be the firm’s most successful year to date.
Kivells’ October Collective Property Auction saw 16 lots go under the hammer, resulting in over £2.3 million in auction sales, to the delight of vendors and buyers alike.
The auction room at Lifton Strawberry Fields was full of eager bidders, hoping to secure their desired lot. With a range of opportunities on offer, including land, residential property and even a former chapel, there really was something for everyone.
34.56 acres of land at Dux, Pyworthy exceeded its guide of £295,000, selling for £360,000, 4.96 acres in Herodsfoot, Liskeard sold for £40,000 against a guide of £45,000 and 0.3 acres at Dunsford Road, Exeter saw the hammer fall at £28,000, £3,000 above its guide.
3.13 acres of land off Tregenna Road, Blisland, Bodmin, sold for £85,000 against a guide of £75,000, 50.17 acres in Treneglos, Launceston sold for £561,000 against a guide of £495,000 and 3.01 acres at Rosegate, Warbstow saw the hammer fall at £67,000; an impressive £52,000 above its guide.
Kivells’ strong marketing campaigns were perfectly demonstrated when land and building at Wilton Farm in Herodsfoot sold prior to auction. The 6.87 acres, range of farm buildings and concreted yards achieved £285,000 against a guide of £250,000.
Residential property continues to be in high demand with Chute Cottage, a two-bedroom detached residence in Trevelmond, Liskeard, receiving huge interest in the run up to the auction, selling for £145,000, £35,000 above its guide.
Upton Garth, a substantial executive style property in a highly soughtafter area in Upton, Bude, sold for £590,000 against a guide of £500,000.
Concluding October’s auction was Eden Chapel, a former Methodist Church, adjoining Sunday school and detached former Coach House in Jacobstow, Bude. This unique opportunity surpassed its guide of 140,000, selling for £166,000; a fantastic project with huge potential for the new owners.
