The Market gates open at 6am with skilled and trained stockmen available to assist unloading and loading at all times. The Market also has its own lorry and trailer washout area for customers convenience, adhering to all current requests and regulations on bio-security. The Market square accommodates 20 agriculturally linked businesses which trade out of the market square on market days providing a wide range of services and contact with attending farmers and also boasts an onsite café ‘The Market Café’.
Holsworthy Livestock Market also enables farmers and the wider agricultural community to buy and sell to agricultural machinery, vehicles, equipment and effects. A monthly collective machinery sale, usually held on the 1st Saturday of each month, has grown into an extremely popular and well-supported event with many sales consisting of 2000 plus lots and attracting massive crowds from all over the country. These sales are complemented by also being available to view and bid on the online platform MartEye.
The Market is an important part of the local and regional farming community and we are pleased to have a full time Chaplaincy Team who attend every sale and provide an invaluable caring service to our rural community and also hosts a number of events throughout the year including Harvest Festivals and Christmas Carol Services. A wide range of other events occur at the market premises throughout the course of the year including YFC events such as Tractor Runs, charity events, health and safety events, agricultural machinery demonstrations and sale events.
