Kivells’ reputation as the most successful property auctioneers in Devon and Cornwall was brightly shone upon at their June Collective Property Auction, recording a 100% sales success rate, to the delight of staff and clients alike.

Kivells' sixth auction of the year, which took place on the day of the Summer Solstice, achieved an impressive £2 million in sales; a total of £10,910,000 worth of land and property sold by this method of sale so far this year.

Demand for land continues to heat up, with 10 lots, stretching from Bude to Tintagel, receiving huge amounts of interest, both in the run up to the event, in the auction room and online.

Bidding was fierce for the former golf links and 50.66 acres of land in Tintagel. This unmissable opportunity, which will likely never become available again, exceeded its guide price of £295,000, selling for a phenomenal £390,000. An additional 5.41 acres in Tintagel, guided at £60,000, saw the hammer fall at £130,000.

Approximately 26.29 acres of pasture land in a peaceful rural location, close to the village of Linkinhorne, also went under the hammer in the packed auction room. Suitable for a variety of uses including equestrian, smallholding or general amenity, the land at Linkinhorne was available in two lots, with both exceeding their guides; 13.45 acres sold for £146,000 against a guide of £70,000 and £12.75 acres sold for £134,000, £64,000 above its guide.

Along with the 10 lots of land on offer was Dinnis Churchtown Farm, a charming and characterful three bedroom detached farmhouse set within 1.73 acres. Guided at £425,000, the property sold for an impressive £560,000.
