Excellent spring success at Kivells’ March Auction

The spring market arrived early for Kivells March Collective Property Auction, where nine sought after lots went under the hammer at Lifton Strawberry Fields, resulting in sales in excess of £1.2 million. 

Residential property continues to achieve fantastic results at auction. 

Myrtle Cottage in St. Pinnock received huge interest in the run up to the auction, with multiple viewing days undertaken. For sale for the first time in over 50 years, this charming two bedroom detached property sold for £154,000 against a guide of £90,000, to the delight of the vendors. 

Similarly named Myrtle House, a substantial country home in St. Ive set on a 0.48 acre plot with detached double garage, also generated strong interest in the auction room, seeing the hammer fall at £240,000, £40,000 above its guide. 


Ashmede, a four-bedroom bungalow in Ashwater, with a range of outbuildings and just under 7 acres of land, sold prior to auction for £450,000 against a guide of £375,000, demonstrating Kivells’ strong marketing campaigns. 

Kivells’ auctions remain a popular method of sale for land, with 5.47 acres and a field shelter at Penvith, St. Martin selling for £116,000 against a guide of £50,000 and 25.46 acres of land at Fiddlecott, Chawleigh seeing the hammer fall at £256,000, an impressive £81,000 above its guide. 


3.49 acres of land at Scrubtor Farm in Tavistock sold for £50,000 against a guide of £45,000 and 0.24 acres of land near St. Winwolaus's Church sold for £9,000 against a guide of £10,000.
