The Labour government’s decision to stop accepting new applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) is a huge blow following the closure of Capital Grant Applications and recent IHT announcements, but we are hopeful opportunities will continue to become available throughout the year and are here to support and advise farmers and the rural community.
The announcement, which was made on Tuesday 11 March, marks the closure of SFI24 with the funding cap now reached for this year however, the Government has stated all Environmental Land Management Schemes Agreements will remain in place, including SFI and there will be a new and improved SFI offer with details to follow the Spending Review in early summer.
Submitted ‘eligible’ SFI Applications will be considered but unfortunately SFI Applications that are part completed, but yet to be submitted, will be rejected.
Kivells will be at the fore of wholesome SFI and Capital Grant advice, along with wider opportunities in parallel, such as FETF and we encourage you to follow Kivell’s socials for further announcements.
