From 26th March until 23rd April some classes of store cattle and store sheep for our Friday store market do not need to be blood tested (Step 4, below). Steps 1-3 and Step 5 are still required. Please call Kivells on 01932 251261 for advice.
Bringing Store Stock to Exeter (Friday Market) from the Blue Tongue Restricted Zone
Step 1.
Apply For a License EXD632 (To move animals to a market – Not for immediate slaughter)
You will need to include the following information: -

Designated Premises Approval: Tick “no or don’t know”.
You will be asked to pick your license start/finish date. This is to assist vet allocation and workload.

Step 2.
The Application Reference Number will appear on the same website portal almost immediately.
Step 3.
Contact Uk Farmcare and provide them with the Application Reference Number: Telephone: 0800 6125289 or Email: admin@ukfarmcare.com
Step 4. Testing Uk Farmcare will contact your local government funded vets to arrange for the animals to be tested. At the same time, they will seek APHA approval for the test.
Processing The test will be taken and sent to the laboratory for checking. The date the test is taken is Day Zero.
Results Lab results take up to 3 working days.
Step 5. Movement License is Issued
This normally takes 1 or 2 days.
The license is valid for 21 days from Day Zero.
The license must accompany the stock to the market.
