Kivells are delighted to announce the successful completion of the sale of South Newton Farm in Chittlehampton, Umberleigh, Devon.
The vendors, Steve and Sam Thorne, being long standing clients, entrusted Kivells to undertake not only the farm sale but also the sale of the 140 head pedigree ‘Newhampton’ dairy herd, youngstock and beef animals. This was followed by the on-farm dispersal sale of tractors, milking robots and farm machinery.
The farm itself, set at the end of its own lane and boasting three beautifully presented properties, a traditional barn with development potential, an excellent range of modern dairy farm buildings and approximately 120 acres of land, South Newton Farm brought to the market a rare opportunity to acquire a well invested and well-equipped dairy unit. Listed in the Doomsday Book, South Newton Farmhouse is a Grade II listed, five-bedroom family home presented to an extremely high standard. The farm sold against a guide price of £2.8 million.
Kivells wish Steve and Sam the very best for their new business venture and send best wishes to the purchasers of South Newton Farm, being a South Devon farming family.
Any prospective vendors thinking of selling are welcomed to contact our Farms and Land Co-ordinator Jackie Chegwyn or Director Mark Bromell at our Holsworthy Office on 01409 253275 to discuss any potential sale options.
