Our straw sales at Holsworthy got under way this week with superb load of 15.8 ton of straw being sold on behalf of Messrs Butt of Wiltshire to £95p/ton. With plenty of enquires from potential purchasers we will be holding a weekly auction at 11.30am each Wednesday.

A wonderful crowd of over 200 people gathered to see the Milking portion of the ‘Maxworthy’ herd of Pedigree Holsteins, on behalf of Messrs J J Uglow of Whitstone, dispersed. With fodder in short supply and rain greatly needed trade was easier than of late.

A wonderful day was seen for the June 2010 Show & Sale of Dairy cattle at Holsworthy with the overall championship awarded to Mr J G Mitchell of Bodmin for a very smart heifer whilst Messrs Jenkin travelled up to Holsworthy to receive the 'highest price' of the day at £2300 for the pick of his team of 13 from 'Mabec' herd.
